Nakao Budo
Every time you visit NAKAO BUDO, you can select the style of drinking and dining that suits your preference and situation: On the first floor, there is a space where you can enjoy tachinomi (“standing drinking”), while on the second floor, there are private dining rooms. The restaurant also proudly offers a wide variety of good quality wines, and its high confidence in its wine selection is expressed even in its name—the word “budo” (which means “grapes”). The restaurant’s wine menu, which is compiled under the supervision of a famous sommelier (who even runs a wine shop), indicates which dishes go well with each wine. Although still young, the master chef has experience of working and learning at a ryotei (a type of luxurious traditional Japanese restaurant) and is very confident at cooking and preparing delicious dishes. The “Tempura and Sparkling Wine Set”—a set meal composed of tempura, at which the master chef excels, and a glass of sparkling wine—is one of the most popular dishes served at NAKAO BUDO.
Owner’s comment
Our master chef’s specialties are dishes that combine Japanese and Western styles, and at NAKAO BUDO, we serve a wide variety of small plates, which can be enjoyed at low prices in an easy, casual manner. If you want to have a drink or two before meeting your companions or if you want to have a light meal on your way home from work, we recommend that you stop by the first floor of our restaurant. In addition to wines, we also offer plenty of other drinks, so please feel free to let us know if you are not sure what to drink. If you are thinking of holding a banquet or party or celebrating a special day, you may try using one of our private dining rooms on the second floor. In these tranquil dining rooms, whose interiors are created in an antique style, you can take your time savoring the dishes and alcoholic drinks we proudly serve.
